Harold H. Tono, age 89, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016.  Born in San Jose, CA, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances, two children, Gary and wife Kyrra, and Catherine, husband Charles, and son Zane.  Also, Harold is survived by 5 siblings:  Ted Tono, Mary Tono, Tom Tono, Ruth Funai, and Auche Hirakawa and 14 nieces and nephews. Harold served in the U.S. Army during WWII.  He worked at Japan Food Corp. in New York and Maryland, Ichiban Steak House in Houston, TX as well as Owen Lighting, Marriott-In-Flight, Japan Trading Company and Japan Food Corp. when he retired.  In retirement, he liked to take trips with his wife, take care of his grandson Zane, read the newspaper and watch sports.  He was a member of the NY Buddhist Church.  He will be dearly missed by friends and family.
