Devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend at 85 passed on to his heavenly Father on November 26, 2022. He was born on September 12, 1937 to John Thomas Humphreys and Clara Eleanor (Meadows) Humphreys in Huntington, WV including his parents he was preceded by his beautiful wife Willa Gail and his daughter Melinda Manning.
Harold is survived by his daughters Kimberly Ann Humphreys, Amy Elizabeth (Doug) Williams, adored grandson Coleman, Sister Nancy (Don) Wilson, son-in-law Rad Manning, and loving companion Sally Drott.
Growing up in Pittsburg, PA he learned to love all kind of sports, football, baseball "Lefty" and his love of golf. After his graduation he attended Marshall College in Huntington, WV. Lefty met his lovely wife Gail in college and was married in 1959. He worked at Huntington Nickel plant while attending college and went to work there after graduating. His job took him to the Chicago area where they became dedicated members of the Presbyterian Church which he and Gail served the rest of their adult lives in Illinois & Houston. While in Illinois, he served as president of the Hanover Park, Park District. He also coached football and baseball in the area. His job then brought the family to NW Houston in 1979. Lefty enjoyed life with his family and friends, playing golf, going to plays, musicals, camping and traveling.
His Memorial will be held on Friday, December 16th, 2022 @ 2PM at Northwoods Presbyterian Church, 3320 Cypress Creek Pkwy. (Old FM 1960) Houston, Texas 77068.
