On Sunday, December 20, 2020, Harold Wayne Searcy, loving husband and father, passed away at age 76.

Harold was born in Houston, Texas. The family moved to the northside of town where he attended Aldine Junior High then Aldine High School. Harold had a passion for basketball and played all through school. He was well known for being an exceptional ball handler and shooter. After high school he went on to work for Coca Cola Co.

In 1970, Harold served in the Army. While serving in the military, he met the love of his life, and a blessing to our family, Chae. They just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. After returning from the Army, he continued to work for Coca Cola Co. for a few more years then worked for a private vendor. In 1986, Harold became an independent distributor for McKee Foods where he retired after 30 years.

Harold was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his boys Terry, and twins Tony and Tommy. Harold always supported them and their dreams, whatever they may have been.

Anyone who knew Harold knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. He was happy to have passed on his knowledge and love of basketball to his sons and all the neighborhood kids.

Harold was predeceased by his son, Tommy Searcy. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Friends are invited to visit with the family between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday, December 28, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, at Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner-Airline Road, Houston, TX 77069 . Interment with military honors will take place at Klein Memorial Park, Pinehurst, following the service.
