On October 8, 2020 the Lord welcomed Harold Gene Cobb to Heaven with the words, "Well done, My
good and faithful servant!" We know though, hardworking Harold has gone to prepare a place for the
family he loves so much.

Born May 17 , 1944 in Heights Hospital, Houston, Texas, the 5th of seven children to Stella and Jesse
Cobb. Harold graduated from Cyfair High School in May of 1963. He joined the United States Navy in
October of 1963 serving five years. He was biding his time until he and Sharon King could marry in 1965.
When Harold left the service in 1967, he went to work with the Houston Fire Department. He covered
Northwest Houston on his watch while he and his brother, Joe, rose through the ranks and made Junior
Captain on the same day. He was known as a good cook and all stations hoped he would join them!
When Harold retired, he launched Harold Cobb Construction full time; running heavy equipment and
loving every minute of it.

He was initiated, passed and then raised to Master into Masonic Lodge serving 51 years, including the
position of Past Master and a charter member of Cypress Lodge. Harold and Sharon are members of the
Order of the Eastern Star, with Harold serving on many appointments, including Past Patron.
With Harold's dedication, he had opportunities to serve in larger capacities but choose to pour into
those closest to him. His great desire was to improve his community by assisting anyone who needed
anything. He was a Gentleman's Gentleman. An avid hunter. And received his greatest joy in serving his
family, friends, and church. He was known as a gracious, loving, and generous Christian.
"Saint" Harold held many roles but his most revered was that of Family Patriarch to 17 women –
daughters, granddaughters, and a great-granddaughter. In addition to being a mentor to his 5 men in
training; 2 grandsons and 3 great-grandsons They all cherished his attention and he responded –
babysitting, a bus driver for the church youth group, hunting guide, dance partner, running carpool,
nurse, driving teacher, shoulder to cry on, love counselor, etc.

Harold is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon, their daughters and husbands; Gail and Ron Lawrence,
Tracey and Earl Rudel, Melissa, and Mark Hannsz. Grandchildren Katelynn Bain and Travis Fuller, Landon
and Brandon McQuillan, Laina and Josh Dennson; Rebecca, Loralee, Amy, and Vincent Lawrence; Heidi
Bain, Cameron Bonds; Dixie, Molly and Priscilla Hannsz. Greatgrandchildren Travis, Korben, Teagan
Fuller; Cadence and Kaia Dennson, and Hadlee McQuillan. Sister Peggy Tanner. Numerous family
members and close friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 13 at 9:00 am with the service following at 11:00 am in the
sanctuary of Graceview Baptist Church in Tomball. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to
Graceview Building Fund, Graceview Baptist Church, Tomball, Texas.
