Lupe was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Aldine High School. After graduation, he attended trade school to study A/C, heating and refrigeration. Lupe was inspired to pursue a career in building management and began his young career with Tenneco. Eventually, he would be hired on by Hines Interest and managed his first project at the Houston Galleria. During the course of his career, he would also manage high rise building projects in Greenspoint Plaza and Downtown Houston. Lupe was a diligent and hardworking individual. He was well respected in the industry and built strong connections with numerous business partners. He dedicated a 39 year tenure working with Hines as an engineer manager.
On a personal note- Lupe grew up in a household of 7 loving siblings. He married his love of 40 years, Silvia Hernandez Gonzales, on April 23rd 1979. Lupe's general hobbies included grilling, hunting, fishing, golfing, biking, jogging, and watching Houston sports. He loved everything about nature and just enjoyed being outdoors. His absolute favorite pastime was swimming- whether it was at the beach, backyard swimming pool, or his favorite retreat- the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels.
