Gretta Crabb, age 102, passed away peacefully at her home in Magnolia, Texas, on April 6, 2026. She was born on November 27, 1923, in Wellenhausen, Germany, where she spent her early years before eventually making her home in the United States.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Garbussus and Martha Gessulat.

Gretta is survived by her two children, Thomas Crabb and Monika Giolito (Bob), and her cherished granddaughter, Elizabeth, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Gretta lived a long and remarkable life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family. A gifted gourmet chef, she poured her heart into every meal she prepared. Whether she was baking, cooking, or crafting a feast for loved ones, her kitchen was always a place of warmth and comfort. Every dish she made was an expression of love.

Her hands were rarely still. Gretta found joy in knitting, crocheting, and gardening, tending to her yard with pride and care. Her home and garden reflected her spirit — vibrant, nurturing, and full of life.

Above all, Gretta was a beautiful soul who embraced the world with kindness and curiosity. She witnessed more than a century of life, experiencing countless moments of joy, change, and growth. Through it all, she remained grounded in love — especially for her children and granddaughter, who were the center of her world.

Her family will forever cherish her strength, her stories, her creativity, and the love she shared so freely. Gretta's legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the many lives she touched.

A graveside service will be held in her honor at Klein Memorial Park (32539 SH 249, Pinehurst, Texas 77362) on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
