Greg was a fiercely passionate man and the force was always strong within him.

Among Greg's favorite things were Star Wars, bacon, and his video games. He took great pride in his country and served proudly as a member of the United States Army. Above all, his greatest love was being a Husband, a Father, and a Friend. He was intensely devoted to all three.

Greg's hobbies included coaxing others into long, philosophical discussions about the Star Wars Universe and attempting to convince his friends to join him in playing his favorite online games. He tried both often, and usually failed miserably in his attempts. But one had to respect his persistence, in this and all aspects of his life.

Greg's idea of fashion always included some form of camo and a pair of sunglasses. He was a man of simple taste and strong character. His laugh could be heard across a room, as could his favorite string of curse words when he was having a bad day. It was never a secret how Greg felt about something, and when he was happy, it would radiate to those around him.

Greg was a proud IBEW 716 Union Electrician who loved his work and was committed to helping his community. He became an electrician because of a family childhood tragedy, after which he decided to conquer his fear instead of live in it. That's the man Greg was – a man who faced things head on. A man who always let you know exactly where you stood. A man whose stubbornness was only outweighed by the undeniable love and dedication he had for those whom he cared.

The great philosopher, Yoda, said: "Be mindful of the future, but not at the expense of the moment". In many ways, Greg personified this idea. From his once in a lifetime trip to Peru with some of the best people in his life, to taking his daughter Peytan to her Soccer Banquet, Greg lived completely in those moments. He drank them in, and you could almost see him filing those special memories away to be cherished at a later date, over a glass of whiskey or a cold beer.

Greg was one of a kind and will be forever missed by so many. A few words on a page fall desperately short of doing justice to the kind, thoughtful, giving, hardworking, incredible man that has left us far too soon. Greg is survived by his loving wife Amanda Turner-Hill, his beautiful children Tyler Hill, Morgan Tuter and husband Aran Tuter, Brendan Hill, and Peytan Hill, his stepchildren Sophie Turner and Robert Turner, his grandchildren Kinlee Tuter, Easton Tuter, Oran Tuter, and Alice Hill, his father Buren Hill, and his sister Amanda Hill, as well as many other beloved family members.

Greg was many things to many people. A committed husband to the woman who loved him unconditionally. A loving pawpaw to his precious grandchildren. A proud father who loved nothing more than bragging about his children. A true friend who showed up at the very worst of times to help those in need, and at the best of times to celebrate with them. But most of all, he was loved! Wholly and completely.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Greg's name to The Gary Sinise Foundation, supporting Veterans and First Responders.
