Gregory Kevin Fenton, 64, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday June 2, 2018 peacefully in his sleep after a brief battle with cancer.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on June 8 at Klein Funeral Home in Spring, Texas. Reverend George Cathcart will be officiating. A celebration of life will follow at the home of Mike and Robin Gallagher. Burial will be at Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage, Illinois at a later date.

Greg was born in Fairfield, Illinois on July 30, 1953. He graduated from Fairfield High School and continued on to receive a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. In 1998 Greg earned his CPA in Accounting.

Greg was married to Penne Jane Plummer –Fenton on September 23, 1989. They were married for 28 years.

He has worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Hewlett-Packard for the past 19 years. Prior to that he worked at Reading and Bates-Falcon as an accountant for 10 years. Early in his career, he worked for Mandall & Kahn Housewares and Grocers Supply Company in their accounting departments.

Greg enjoyed watching the Houston Texans and tailgating before their home games. He enjoyed playing golf, gathering with his many friends and spending time at their lake house in Cold Springs, Texas. He also loved the many Golden Retriever dogs that shared his life throughout the years.

Greg is survived by his wife Penne, his 96 year old mother Wanda and his family and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Gilbert Fenton, of Fairfield, Illinois.
