Greg D. Ortega, 58, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Memorial Hermann The Heights following a heart attack.

Mr. Ortega is survived by his beloved wife, Delphina Ortega; son, Gregory D. Ortega II (Kordae R. Ortega); daughter, Marie E. Ortega (Joe A. Bocanegra); his three grandchildren, Isaac J. Ortega, Jeremiah A. Rashid and Levi A. Ortega; brother, John M. Ortega and sister, Alicia M. Ortega.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marie E. Ortega and Macario Ortega; his two sisters Rosemarie E. Serbin and Elisabeth A. Aguirre and his grandchild Israel E. Ortega.

Greg was born on April 16, 1958 in Long Beach, California. He served in the Marines for 4 years and went on to meet his wife, Delphina Ortega. Greg and Delphina had two children, Gregory D. Ortega II and Marie E. Ortega. Greg and Delphina founded G&D Custom Works Inc. in 1992, which has been successful for over 25 years and continues to be a family owned and operating business. Greg loved hiking mountains, riding his Harley and listening to Hard Rock. But most of all he enjoyed being home, spending time with his grandchildren and watching sports.
