Grayson James Barrett was born April 24, 2019 at Texas Children's Hospital, a very premature but also a very beautiful baby boy.  After delivery via Caesarean section, Grayson was placed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Women's Pavilion. There he fought bravely to survive, inspiring his mother, father, and extended family, along with family friends, colleagues, and acquaintances in numerous cities and states, to join together in prayer and support.  Grayson passed away quietly on the morning of April 26, 2019, having left a powerful legacy of inspiration, hope, and family unity.  He is now in the arms of God and His angels, perfect and happy, where he will await a reunion with his family.

Surviving Family

Grayson is survived by his parents, Samuel Barrett and Ivelys (Ivy) Velezdeya Barrett of Spring Texas, along with grandparents Duane and Leslie Mitchell Barrett, great-grandfather Ike Barrett, uncle Matthew Barrett, aunt Allison Campbell Barrett, and cousins Jack and Kate Barrett, all of Montgomery, Texas.
