Grant, 83, of Cypress, Texas passed away on the evening of January 27th, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Cypress Texas.
Grant was born June 26, 1942, in Monterey Park, Los Angeles, California. Was the son of the late Adolph Grueneich and Ruth Keeler - Grueneich.
He was a graduate of Palm Springs High School, June 10, 1960
He was recognized for several science and musical achievements and received several scholarships to attend Rice University. While attending Rice University he was awarded Dean's Honor List many times while pursuing his electrical engineering degree.
He graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts. May 30th, 1964, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. June 5th, 1965
He serviced in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in Korea earned the rank of Captain by the time he was honorably discharged in 1973.
Grant was married for 58 years to Nada Sremcevic – Grueneich. They raised two loving sons, Frederick Eldon Grueneich and Norman Fletcher Grueneich.
Grant is survived by his wife Nada Sremcevic – Grueneich and their sons, Frederick and Norman Grueneich.
He is preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Ruth Grueneich.
Grant had a long career as a power systems engineer with Center Point Energy and Houston Lighting and Power Company. He worked for them for 37 years.
In life, he enjoyed many hobbies, such as photography, music, fishing, building electronics and after he retired, he and his wife Nada travelled through the United States. He especially enjoyed fishing with his sons.
Grant loved the lord and prayed for the care of his family and friends. He was a very helpful and quiet man. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. He goes to rest in the arms of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
