Grace (Ellen Temple) McFee Wunsch, 84 years old, a longtime Cape Conroe resident of Montgomery, Texas, passed away peacefully in her family's home on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
Grace was originally from Flint, Michigan, where she married her High school "beau" Richard McFee until his passing in 1995. Grace enjoyed a second chance at love marrying Marvin Wunsch of Spring, Texas, who approached her at the Luby's dining table and shortly thereafter were married until his passing in 2008. She cared for both of them through sickness, always by their side. Grace was preceded in death by her parents Ellen and Dean Temple, her sisters Virginia and Wilma, and her brother Robert.
Left behind to honor her memory are her daughters, Kathleen Griffin Kleckley and husband Richard, Bethany Simpson, sister-in-law Julie McFee of Inverness Florida. Her legacy continues through her daughters and grandchildren Travis Griffin, Andrew and Laila Griffin, Bradley and Claudia Griffin, Dr. Emily Simpson, Annabel Simpson and great grandchild Benjamin Griffin.
Grace was a career woman breaking history as an information technology specialist entering governmental computer data via binary code in the late 1950's, well before the personal computers of today. In retirement, Grace volunteered in her local community as a member of the Women's Club of Cape Conroe raising money to give scholarships to High School students. She enjoyed traveling to see and experience new places and meet new people all the while enjoying the time with old friends and family along the way. She developed and maintained long term friendships with her neighbors and cemented relationships with her co-workers at Stein Mart where she loved to work and shop.
Everyone will miss Grace's larger than life presence that she exuded in everything she did.
