Grace Barbara Silvia, 86, passed away peacefully June 12, 2018 in The Woodlands, Texas.
Grace was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 10, 1931 to Mike and Elsie (Lollo) Picciattoli. She was married to John Silvia Jr. on October 27, 1966 in Arlington, Virginia. She enjoyed reading a variety of novels, feeding birds with her bird feeders, growing roses, visiting the beach, and enjoying a good cup of tea with a friend. She cared for others through her volunteer work with the Paramedic Volunteer Squad and Hospice support in Sun City, Florida.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Erik and Jennifer Spersrud, Steven and Jacquelline Dornic; grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Stephen, and Elizabeth; and great grandchildren, Tycen and Ethen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Silvia Jr.
The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Jay Myers at Klein Funeral Home at 1400 W. Main St. in Tomball, Texas at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 with visitation hours on Friday June 15, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodsedge Community Church, 25333 Gosling Rd., Spring, TX 77389 (www.woodsedge.org). Please be sure to include Grace's name in the comment/memo box online or on the memo line of your check.
Special thanks to the staff of St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital and the staff of the Avanti Assisted Living Community for their loving care for Grace this past year.
