Gordon Francis Wiley, Jr., passed away peacefully at home with his family on April 9, 2024.

Gordon was born in Beaumont, Texas, on January 18, 1952. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was drafted, which he jokingly referred to as the only lottery he ever won.

Gordon was an entrepreneur and started his own business selling sand blasting and painting equipment. He spent his life working on G-Blast Service and Supply and growing it into something he was very proud of.

An avid outdoorsman, Gordon enjoyed duck and dove hunting with his loyal dogs Max, Ty, and Shadow; freshwater fishing in his boat; and surfing and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. Gordon also loved riding his motorcycle, going to classic car shows, and attending car races at the race track.

He loved rock and roll, and as a young adult, he worked in a road crew and saw concerts across the US, including big names like Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.

Gordon liked to travel and was fortunate to visit many exciting and historical places around the US and the world. Notably, he fondly recalled surfing in California, SCUBA diving in Mexico, his time in Germany, and many trips to New Orleans and Daytona Beach throughout his life.

In 1989, on Christmas Day, Gordon became a devoted father to his only child, Katy. He shared his love of music, swimming, fishing, riding motorcycles, and enjoying the natural beauty of Texas with her.

He was a beloved son and brother who valued spending time with his mother and sister, Jessica, especially during the holidays. He was also a loving uncle to his four nieces, whom he watched grow up. Gordon loved being around children and adored his nieces' daughters and sons. He enjoyed getting to know them and supporting them in their interests.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Katy Wiley Stewts and husband Shawn Stewts; sister, Jessica Malach; niece, Carrie Henzler and husband Stephen Henzler; niece, Katherine Sanford and husband Les Sanford; niece, Joanna Malach; niece, Jill Malach; and great nieces and nephews, Emma Sanford, Elizabeth Sanford, Matthew Henzler, Jess Henzler, Ivy Grace Canales, and Edi Canales.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith Jess Colley and Gordon Francis Wiley, Sr.
