Obituary

Gordon E. Farned, 71, passed away peacefully in Tomball, Texas on Sunday, November 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Houston, Texas in 1947 to the late Henry and Ruby Farned.  Gordon grew up in Houston and graduated from Sam Houston High School. He retired from ADT Security Services after 44 years of service.  In 1998 he moved his family to the Tomball area.
Gordon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was 14 years old.  He loved the Lord and his family with an unwavering commitment.  Gordon was proud of his abiding 50 year friendship and 32 years of marriage with his wife, Kay.  He was happiest participating in weekly family dinners, family vacations and constant family projects.  Gordon felt his children and grandchildren were his greatest accomplishment in life.  Gordon is survived by his loving wife Kay Farned, his daughter Molly Kay Slusher and husband Tim, his son Jason Cropper and granddaughters Darla Cropper and Maddy Slusher.
Gordon faced his declining health with dignity and courage and was a source of strength to all who loved and admired him during his battle. His love, laughter and joy for living will be sorely missed. Gordon will forever be remembered as a loving, kind and doting husband, dad and Biggie (grandpa) and friend.  He was an amazing man who put all of his love and energy into those he cherished and loved. The family would like to thank Dr. Niemann and Dr. Sharp of Baylor College of Medicine for their guidance and concern for Gordon.
Friends and family will be received between 9:00 - 10:00AM Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Klein Funeral Home, located at 1400 W. Main Street, Tomball, TX.
