Mr. Glynis Dean McLarrin, son of the late James Thomas McLarrin and Ruby Pauline Reid, was born June 7, 1942 in Naylor, Arkansas.

He was united in holy matrimony to Barbara Lou Marsh in April of 1962. This almost 58-year union was blessed with four children, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Mr. McLarrin was a retired pipefitter from Brown and Root, where he worked for over 20 years. As a result of his funny personality, his devotion to his family and love for Christ, he was adored and loved by many. Mr. McLarrin could always bring a smile to your face and never met a stranger. His memory will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. He quietly departed this life and went to be with The Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2020, peacefully at home, with his wife by his side in Magnolia, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas McLarrin, mother, Ruby Pauline Reid, sister, Wilma Ann Ball, brother, Edgar Thomas McLarrin, sister, Mary Julia McLarrin, and son, Glynis Dean McLarrin, Jr.

His life and spirit will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Daisy Lorraine (Lorrie) McElroy of Pasadena, TX, Jasper DeWayne McLarrin and wife, Brandi, of LaPorte, TX, and Robbie Glyn McLarrin and wife, Jamie, of LaPorte, TX; Seven grandchildren, Cassie Dutton and husband, Heath, of Cove, TX, Alicia Gilbert and husband, Dwain, of Mont Belvieu, TX, Brittany Matthews and husband, Drew, of Westmont, IL, Hali McLarrin of Clear Lake, TX, and Hannah McLarrin, Jillian McLarrin and Emma McLarrin, all of LaPorte, TX; Four great grandchildren, Brock, Dawson, Emmi, and Brooks; brothers, Randall McLarrin and wife, Linda, of Oak Grove, LA, Kenneth McLarrin and wife, Mary, of Sterlington, LA, Rayburn McLarrin and wife, Anita, of Bastrop, LA., and Laura McLarrin Musgrove of Brandon, MS; as well as a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
