Obituary

Gloria Jean Fisher, went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years William K. Fisher, Jr. (Bill), her parents William H Knight, Jr. and Marion S. Knight. Jean was born in Lambert, Mississippi on March 15, 1944.

Jean survived by sons Jeffrey Kent Fisher and daughter-in-law Punkin of Anderson, TX, William Craig Fisher and fiancé Lauren of Navasota, TX, grandchildren Forrest Fisher and wife Whitley of Anderson, TX, Drake Jackson of Navasota,  TX, Larkin Kimich of Navasota,TX, two Great Grandchildren Hagen Jackson of Tomball, TX and Ford Fisher of Anderson, TX,  two sisters Ann Worley and husband Eddie of New Roads. Louisiana, Sheila Keen and husband Dennis of Industry,  TX,   a brother Kenny Knight and wife Melba of Willis, TX.

Mama Bear is also survived by bonus children Bob Kimball Fisher and Rodney Fisher.

Jean is also survived by God child Devon Edward Worley and special niece and namesake Amanda Jean Keen, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nephews and great great nephews that she adored.

Jean lived a wonderful life full of many fun adventures, shared not only with her grand blessings but with sisters better known as "The Golden Girls".

Shopping was at the top of mom's list, often her favorite thing to do finagling whomever was available and ready to shop! You can be certain it was a fun time! She deemed herself a decorating aficionado calling herself "the Queen of decorating".

Jean was a faithful supporter of many local 4-H and FFA kids and served as a board of Director at the Aldine school district.

Jean was a talented hairdresser for many years, beginning her career at Foley's in Sharpstown Mall in Houston Texas. But as luck would have it her husband Bill brought her into the family business giving her the reins at Fisher Meat & Processing in Splendora, Texas. But as time marched on she made her mark in Spring, Texas. She was also an active member of the Texas Association of Meat Processors holding a position on the board of directors.

Jean always felt that her greatest accomplishment in life was being momma to Kent and Craig. It was no secret how proud she was of them. There is no doubt that Mom and Dad  are smiling in heaven knowing that the 4th generation will continue their legacy.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Robert and Nadine Cranes and Elaine McSwain which are both next-door neighbors. Her caregivers Linda Elizondo, Esther Nava, and Emily Salazar. Words cannot begin to describe appreciation in each of our hearts.

A special thanks to Precinct  4 Constable's office for their friendship and many years of support.
