Obituary

Gloria Ann "Sue, Suzy, Suzy-Q" Blume, née Cochran left this world on October 13, 2023.

Sue, born on August 31, 1946, grew up the eldest and only girl of five younger brothers.    Sue was a passionate and smart woman, known for her talkative and friendly nature. She was not afraid to get down on the floor with her children and grandchildren and loved a good laugh, often giggling at her own expense. Her holiday traditions, like Christmas cookies and Easter egg coloring, were beloved by her children and grandchildren, and she always decorated her home for each holiday and season.  She was an ambassador for her apartment complex in her final years, and was known for her desire to help her fellow residents.

Sue is survived by two children, three grandchildren, her mother-in-law, four brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Blume, her parents, and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made in her name to Senior Rides and More, a faith-based nonprofit whose mission is to promote senior independent living, health, and safety by providing free transportation and other services.
