In loving memory of Glenn Roger Baker.

Glenn Roger Baker of Hockley, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2026, with family at his bedside. Glenn was born on November 23, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Opal Baker, and two sisters, Rose and Ruth, and one brother, Donnie.

Glenn and Darlene married on November 17, 1962, in Wichita, Kansas. Glenn is survived by his wife, Darlene Baker of 63 years; three sons, Michael Baker and wife Terri of Tomball, Texas, Stanley Baker and wife Brenda of Katy, Texas, and Thomas Baker of Hockley, Texas. Five Grandchildren: Andrew Romo and wife Janet of Cypress, Texas, Amber Baker-Veenstra and husband Aaron of Houston, Texas, and Jacob Baker and wife Kelly of Houston, Texas, and Joley Baker-Bangura and husband Ibrahim of Katy, Texas, and Jeremy Baker of Denver, Colorado. Nine great- grandchildren: Alexandria Veenstra, Madison Romo, Isabelle Baker, Ronin Padilla, Lincoln Romo, Amayra Bangura, Lliza Baker, Aisha Bangura, and Alora Baker. One brother, Jim Baker, of Wichita, Kansas. Glenn also leaves numerous loved ones and close friends.

Glenn graduated from Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas. Glenn loved to dance with his sister Rose on the TV show The Hop; he loved fishing, bowling, playing cards, playing dominoes, and spending time with family. Glenn will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, quick wit, and sense of humor. We will cherish every time he would show up to important events, like grandparents' celebrations, birthday parties, and school events. He would go out of his way to take his grandkids to and from church. He also loved to volunteer at his local church. Some of his fondest memories will always be his grandkids sitting beside him, getting ready to read a book to them or getting ready to play a game with family. All these memories are filled with laughter and overwhelming joy. He had a special way of making everyone smile. He taught his family how to treat people with benevolence and respect and how to be present at every moment. Glenn was such a joy to be around.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Our memories of Glenn will live on forever.
