Obituary

Glendon Ray Osburn  90  of Cypress, Texas, was born May 30, 1927, in Quanah, Texas and went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2018.

He was a man whom loved his family and friends.  He lived his life for them and was known by all for his honesty and integrity.  He joined the Navy, and served in World War II as a photographer.  After honorable discharge he moved to Houston and studied as a commercial artist.  When married he chose the field of carpentry to support his family.  He had a successful career as a custom trim carpenter in the city of Houston.  He loved to tell stories and remembered all of them from childhood to present. He cherished his precious memories of his loved family.  Enjoyed photography, painting, building and repairing clocks, music, birds, flowers, the favorite was his gardenia bushes he rooted.

With God's blessing he lived courageous, with endless perseverance.  He finished his journey with the Lord's grace.

Welcomed home to join his loving wife Viola and grandson Harlan.

Preceded in death by Wife: Viola Gottselig Osburn, Father: Winston Churchill Osburn and Mother: Louvena Chamblee Osburn, Grandson: Harlan Carr,  Brothers:  Prentice and Loran Osburn.

We will miss you and see you again, we promise.

Children:  Glendon A. Osburn, wife Barbara, Marilyn Osburn, Cheryl Carr, and Gaylon Osburn, wife Jeannie.

Grandchildren:  Farah and Jaime Hinson, Livia and Sky Carr, wife Mary, Kelly Copeland, husband Kyle, Allison Stephenson, husband Andrew, Jeff Osburn, wife Amy, Chris, Chloe, and Jared Osburn.

Great Grandchildren:  Cassidy, Deven, Brandon, Shane, Lily, Seth, Dakota, Ava, Bella, Julianne, James, Haylie, Preston, Cooper, Brigham, Cody, Jaxx, Colton, and baby Stephenson.  Brother:   Kenneth Osburn.  Brother in law:  Frank Pustka.  Many cherished nephews and nieces, family and friends.

Family and friends will be called together to celebrate his life eternal.

The funeral service will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 8227 Country Road 205, Plantersville, Texas  77363, 936-894-2746.  Graveside Service and Interment St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Plantersville, Texas  77363.  Reception follows.
