Obituary

Ginger Gale Delgado was born in Kaufman, TX to William Warren Jennings and Frieda (Rutherford) Jennings on December 23, 1947. Gale grew up in Kaufman's First Christian Church and loved to sing hymns and read scripture. Her favorite being 1 Corinthians Chapter 13, which embodied Gale's love for all. Gale worked in her family grocery store, Jennings Grocery as a cashier from sixth grade through high school. After graduating high school, she attended college at East Texas State, where she earned a degree in Business. When she graduated from college, she became a teacher and eventually a real-estate agent working for the City of Beaumont. She met the love of her life of fifty-one and a half years, Joaquin Colunga "J.C." Delgado, Jr. They were married on August 25, 1972 in Kaufman, TX. On December 23, 1981, while living in Beaumont, TX they welcomed daughter, Joan "Gabby" Gabrielle. After moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania they welcomed son, Francis "Frankie" Ellison on February 12, 1986. Gale had also had a love of education and when her family moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana she received her master of Education from McNeese State University. Gale was always full of joy, loved music and to dance, and was a friend to anyone she met. She witnessed by being herself and loved the Lord fiercely. Gale loved helping out in church and was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Gale is preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister in-law William Coleman and Dolores Jennings, her cousin Rita (Rutherford) O'Neil, and her best friend Marlana Lewis. She is survived by her loyal husband J.C. Delgado, two children Gabby and Frankie, and her sister Linda Jean Jennings.
