Gilda Mairena Zapp, born August 24, 1980 in Jujutla, Ahuachapan, El Salvador to Maria Mejia Escobar and Francisco Escobar, passed away November 22, 2019 in Magnolia, Texas surrounded by her family. She is survived by her parents, husband Steven Todd Zapp, her girls Alma Meredith Escobar and Sofia Ann Zapp, also by her siblings Dilma Perez, Nexy Escobar, Edgardo Escobar and Ana Escobar.

Gilda was a tender, loving and beautiful soul, her creativity and talent went beyond anything we could imagine and took her places she would have never envisioned, she conquered obstacles that some of us will be defeated by and rose to the top like the star that she was. Gilda was a mother above anything else in life, her girls were her life, her pride and joy, her everything and she made sure everyone knew how she felt about her girls. Her love for her daughters was above motherly love, it was more precious than such love. The way she saw life was contagious, there was nothing in this world that could stop her, and she showed us that with hard work and perseverance anything is possible. You will always be with us; your spirit will live forever in our hearts.
