Baby Gerard was carried peacefully to the heavenly court by Our Lord Jesus Christ and The Blessed Virgin Mary on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Born at 11:25pm, he was immediately baptized by his father, William, while cradled in his loving parents' arms.

Gerard was the third son of William and Erica Fehmer. He is survived by his eldest brother Sean, sister Laurel, and brother Eli; paternal grandparents Bill and Karen of Houston, TX; maternal grandparents Sam and Arlene Marino of Houston, TX; 13 aunts and uncles; 14 cousins; two second cousins, and a large extended family.

By God's grace, Gerard lived 33 weeks during pregnancy. Throughout his brief life, Gerard earned for his family a stronger, deeper love for their Holy Faith and each other, as well as a great desire to live always according to God's Holy Will – a grace which usually requires a lifetime of merit. The family honors and recognizes the special help of their heavenly patrons during the past months: The Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Gerard Majella, St. Philomena, and St. Charbel Makhlouf.

The family will gather privately for services, including a Rosary and ceremonial Mass Monday, followed by a graveside service Tuesday.
