Gerald "Jerry" Joe White

December 3, 1939 – September 30, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerald "Jerry" Joe White, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, who entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2025, at the age of 85. A long-time resident of Tomball, Texas, Jerry was admired and cherished by all who had the good fortune to know him. His warm presence, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed.

Born on December 3, 1939, in Sturgis, Mississippi, to the late William "Joe" White and Mildred "Lessie" White, Jerry grew up with the values of hard work, humility, and devotion to family. He lived through some of the most defining events of the 20th and early 21st centuries — World War II, the Civil Rights Movement, the moon landing, the Vietnam War, the rise of the internet, the COVID-19 pandemic, and so much more. Through it all, Jerry remained steady, faithful, and grounded.

Jerry built a long and successful career with the skill of his hands — mastering the intricacies of repairing complex pumps and printing presses across industries. His mechanical mind, problem-solving skills, and work ethic earned him the respect of peers and clients alike. In his later years, it was hard for him to let go of the work he loved so dearly — a reminder of how deeply tied his identity was to his craft and ability to provide.

Above all else, Jerry was a devoted family man. His greatest treasure was the enduring love he shared with his wife, Yvonne White, who he affectionately called "My Precious." He was a steadfast and loving father to his sons, Martin "Marty" White (spouse Tracy) and Donnie White (spouse Jaqueline) and a proud stepfather to Charmaine Ferguson, Nikki Louden (spouse James), Sean Ferguson (spouse Rachel), Lisa Shelton (spouse Oliver), and Wayne Ferguson (spouse Heather).

Jerry was also a doting grandfather who found boundless joy in the lives of his grandchildren: Dhayne, Joseph "Joey", Braxton, Carrington, Savannah, Charlie,

Madison (spouse Brandon), Morgan, Zachary, Joshua, Hannah, Pierce, Pryce, Bella and Noah. He was further blessed to be a great-grandfather to two precious great-granddaughters, Sloane and Isla, whose presence brought him such delight. Just ten days before Jerry's death, he welcomed a new great-grandson, Benjamin – whom he didn't get the chance to meet, but who will surely grow up hearing the stories of Jerry's remarkable life. Jerry's influence, quiet strength, and love will live on through all of us.

He was also a great storyteller with a sharp and infectious sense of humor. Even as time took its toll, and his short-term memory began to fade, Jerry never forgot the stories of his past. He lit up when he recounted his vivid recollections of his childhood adventures in Mississippi, his years in the workforce, his trip to Scotland, and family memories that spanned decades. The twinkle in his eye returned whenever he recounted these stories – and he told them with such detail and joy – reliving them all over again. His laughter and wit brought light to every room.

Jerry's legacy is one of integrity, humor, loyalty, and boundless love. He was a man who could fix anything, whose door was always open, and whose heart was even more so. His impact will forever be felt by all of us who had the honor of knowing and loving him.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring Texas 77379.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring Texas 77379.

Interment is to follow in Klein Memorial Park Cemetery at 14711 Cypress North Houston Rd, Cypress Texas 77429.

Serving as pallbearers are Marty White, Donnie White, Sean Ferguson, Wayne Ferguson, James Louden and Montana Day. Honorary pallbearers are Braxton White, Dhayne White, Joseph "Joey", Zachary Ferguson, Joshua Ferguson and Pryce Ferguson.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
