??Jerry Gilbert, age 26, of Houston, Texas passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2019. He was born on November 17, 1992, in Houston.  Growing up in the Cypress area, he was an excellent athlete, participating in numerous sports throughout his childhood.  Jerry went to Cypress Falls High School and played on the varsity football team.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mays Business School.
Jerry loved and cherished his dog, Lil Bit.  He enjoyed being outside in nature, going for walks and weight lifting.  Jerry relished reading and learning a wide range of subjects and participating in vigorous discussions with family and friends about economics, science, and politics. He enjoyed numerous trips with family and frequently mentioned his favorite trip was to Australia with his grandma, sister and cousins.  He was an avid Texans fan and frequently attended sporting events.
After graduation, Jerry worked as a Supply Chain Coordinator at Swiff-Train Co.  He was a soft spoken, considerate and thoughtful man and recently started taking flying lessons in pursuit of a private pilot's license.
He will be sorely missed.
Jerry is survived by his parents, Norman and Diane Gilbert of Houston; sister, Nikki Gilbert of Houston; paternal grandparents, Susan Gilbert, M.D. of Houston and Warren and Ruth Ann Gilbert of Wimberley and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jo Anne and Gerald Reich.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Klein Funeral Home-CyFair, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2019.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
