In loving memory of George Quaker Hooten who passed away suddenly at the age of 85 in his home in Spring, Texas (formerly of Lawrenceburg, IN) on July 15, 2020.  He was born April 13, 1935 in Guilford, Indiana to the late George and Anna Hooten.  He married Mary Lou Carr on December 26, 1957.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary Hooten, his daughter Georgina Hooten (Scott) of Ewa Beach, HI, and son Jeff Hooten (Susan) of Spring, TX.  He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Hooten and sisters Fern Wingate and Helen Carr.

George proudly served his country in the United States Army in the late 1950's.  After leaving the military, he started what would become a 40-plus year career with Seagram's Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

George will be fondly missed by many who knew him.  It was his wish to be cremated.  Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
