George H. "Bubba" Ausec passed away on June 21, 2017 in Spring, TX. He was born on October 2, 1942 in Hallettsville, Texas to George Frank Ausec and Hilda Lucke Ausec. He is the husband of Connie McLarry Ausec. They shared 54 years of marriage together.

George grew up in Yoakum, Texas and graduated from Yoakum High School in 1960. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston in 1966. He was employed as a systems analyst and consultant at Shell Oil for 33 years.

George was a charter member of Champion Forest Baptist Church, joining in 1971, and served as a deacon in the church's early years. He and his wife taught preschool Sunday School for 38 years where he was affectionately known as "Mr. George" to several generations of four and five-year-olds. Baseball was a favorite pastime, and he began coaching Little League at the age of 18.  He went on to coach his two sons on teams in the Spring-Klein Baseball Association for ten years.  Not only did he take a special interest in teaching his young players basic baseball skills, but he also modeled good sportsmanship both on and off the field.  In retirement George enjoyed spending time at the family farm riding his tractor, fishing, and entertaining his grandchildren who will always lovingly remember him as their "BubbaPa."

George is survived by his wife Connie of Spring, Texas; his son Kurt (wife Ginny) of Mt. Ida, Arkansas; his son Chris (wife Heather) of Corinth, Texas; his grandchildren Matt Ausec, Andrew Ausec, Travis Ausec, Abby Ausec, and Jake Ausec; his sisters Rosalie Kelley (husband Rex) and Cheryl Trott both of Yoakum, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 26th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, TX  77379.

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, June 27th at 3:00 pm at Champion Forest Baptist Church (Chapel), 15555 Stuebner-Airline Road, Houston, TX 77069.
