Gene Hoffman, lovingly known as dad, Popa and Uncle Gene, was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved wife Connie and his Savior Jesus Christ on June 16, 2017. Gene will be dearly missed by his loving children Corey and Sheri Hoffman, Traci and Jim Curtin and his adoring grandchildren Cristin and Evan Lamoreux, Cale Hoffman, Kendall and Mason Davis, Brandt Curtin, Hayes Hoffman and Jedd Hoffman and his devoted brother Harvey Hoffman and wife Gloria. Gene was predeceased by his parents Mildred and J.H. Hoffman and his wife of 46 amazing years, Connie. Gene was born in Graham, Texas but soon moved to Irving where he grew up. He joined the Coast Guard after High School where he got a taste of traveling so when Gene ultimately ended up in the Oil Tool business he jumped at the opportunity for him and Connie to travel and live around the world. Gene's proudest accomplishment came after being settled in Houston when he started his own successful Oil Tool Company with Corey and Connie. It was a dream come true. After the sale of the company they ended their nomad ways and retired in Palestine, Texas where Gene was able to pursue his love of hot rods. StreetRod Gene loved his cars and car shows. Gene's contagious smile, quick wit and charm will be missed by all who knew him. His children are thankful for his love and the many things he taught them of which respect and work ethic are at the top of list. His grandchildren will always remember his playful nature, his hilarious story telling, and joke playing. It was always fun when Popa was around! His family is grateful he is reunited with the love of his life and is whole again. Services will be at 9:30 Wednesday, June 21 at Klein Memorial Park 32539 SH 249, Pinehurst, TX 77362 followed by a Celebration of Life at Sol de Luna Room Cisco Salsa Company, 209 Commerce Street,
Tomball, TX 77375.
