Gary Wright passed away on April 3, 2025. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, June 7, 1952, to William Wright, Jr., and Martha Louise Wright. Gary was preceded in death by his father, William Wright, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Vicki Wright. Together they have four children; Michelle Franklin, husband Robert Franklin, their children, Avery, Sealy, Corbin and Morgan; Rachel Sparks, husband Gary Sparks, their children, Tyce and Case; David Wright, wife Jennifer Wright, children Alex, Carli, and Everly; and Tristan Wright, wife Megan Wright, their child, Reagan Wright.

He grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and graduated from Lakeside High School in 1970. While at the University of Arkansas, Gary and Vicki met and married in 1974.   He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1975. Gary finished his MBA at Sam Houston State in 1980.

Gary and Vicki moved to Shreveport, LA, in 1975, where he started working in the oil industry at Texas Eastern Pipeline. They were later transferred to the Houston area, living in Spring until the spring of 2017 and then moving to Hockley where he lived until his death.

Gary worked in finance in the oil and printing industry throughout his career.  His last job was as a Treasurer at Primeflight Aviation.

Gary is also survived by his mother, Martha Wright; his brothers, Lt Colonel Andrew Wright, wife, Judy Wright, Tim Wright, and Christopher Wright, wife A Wright, and son, Mason Wright; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Champions Cowboy Church, 27633 FM 1488, Hockley, TX, 77447. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Champions Cowboy Church or your home church.
