Obituary

Gary Wade Woehrmann was born May 1, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri.  At age 4, he moved with his parents to Houston, Texas where he grew up as an only child. Gary attended the University of Texas in Austin, where he was a Kappa Sig and a Cowboy.  In 1957 Gary entered the United States Navy to become an aviator.  As a pilot, he accomplished 246 landings on various Naval aircraft carriers.  Returning to UT in Austin in 1962, he completed a degree in engineering and began a long career in the engineering / construction industry including Bechtel, Voss International, Becon and Basic Engineering. Years passed with many adventures including sailing, scuba diving, camping, flying, raising three children and marriage to one woman for 61 years!!!  Gary always had an artist eye coupled with an engineer's brain, so upon retiring in 2015 he began the hobby of carving and whittling birds.

Gary was born again to life in Jesus Christ in his early 40's.  As a good pilot, he spent the latter years studying the B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) laying out the flight plan for his life.  His example would encourage you to do the same.  Surrounded by his family, the Lord filed Gary's last flight plan on February 2, 2022, landing him into the presence of his Commander-in-Chief, Almighty God. All glory be to Jesus Christ and praise God from whom all blessings flow.
