On Thursday, August 12, 2021, Gary Michael Reno, loving husband, father, and grandfather was called home peacefully at age 70.

Gary was born on May 12, 1951, in Benham, Kentucky and was raised in Redford Township, Michigan where he met his wife, Janet. They were married on February 18, 1978. They raised their four daughters together in Houston, Texas. Gary worked on automobile assembly lines in Michigan and was a mechanic with Sears for 12 years before retiring.

Gary had a passion for God, automobiles, history, carpentry, and movies. Gary 'never met a stranger' and enjoyed talking to others and helping people out. He was a beloved Papa to his grandchildren and his greatest joy was being surrounded by family. He will always be lovingly remembered spending time in the hot tub splashing and shooting water guns with his grandbabies, going to their school lunches every week and picking them up first in car-rider line. He loved the sound of them running around playing and always wanted to have them around. Gary will always be remembered for wanting to help his family, his quick wit, and his infectious smile.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Janet, and daughters: Christina, Kathryn, Gwendolyn and her husband (his favorite son in law) Patrick, and daughter Tiffany. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alyssa, Lachlan, Jake, Pierson, Aurelia, Emma and Declan; his sisters: Sammalene, Gwen, and Jackie; as well as many other family and friends.

Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in Heaven watching over us. Gary will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.
