Gary Arthur Kramer (64) passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2023.  How lucky we were to have shared our lives with him, and how heartbroken we are to lose him so young.  And young at heart he was.  He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Donna Kay (DK), his daughter Alex, his sister Linda Kramer (Steve), his nieces Kari Sams and Kelli Managhan (Marc), Janet Koester Kramer and Patricia Meyers along with a large and adored extended family, deeply cherished friends, and his loyal and loving pups, Harley and Storm.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gideon Kramer and Bettye Lenert.

Gary spent his Houston childhood immersed in swimming, baseball, family, friends, and his faith.  He graduated from Waltrip High School and Southwest Texas State University where he was a leader in the Lambda Chi fraternity.  Gary returned to his beloved Houston after college and enjoyed a prestigious career in sales and marketing.  He spent the last 16 years at TCC Multi-Family Interiors as a National Accounts Manager.  His clients and coworkers respected and loved Gary not only for his professionalism, efficiency, and knowledge, but also for his loyalty, honesty, kindness, and engaging personality.

While his career was both successful and rewarding, Gary's life was centered on family and friends.  Whether with immediate family, extended family, work colleagues or life-long friends, he was never happier than when surrounded by those he loved. He found his joy in hosting family barbeques and pool parties, supporting his Astros, hunting, competing at the Montgomery County Barbeque Cookoff with his Missin' Links SWT brothers and friends, traveling with DK and Alex, watching sports non-stop, and volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.  Gary was involved with the rodeo for over 35 years; many of his dearest friends served with him in this organization.  Within the HLSR, Gary rose to the position of the Hold 'em & Hit 'em President, a Corral Club Cherub member, and a Director of the HLSR.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July26, from 6-8 pm and a Celebration of Life will follow on Thursday, July 27, at 3 pm, both at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, you may email auctions@hlsr.com to make a donation  to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Auction  CCCherubs/Hold 'em & Hit 'em Buying Group. A reception will follow the celebration of life at the home of his dear friends, Todd and Tina Hardy, at 23802 Sonoma Valley Drive, Magnolia, Texas 77355.

The depth of our grief is a reflection of the depth of his love.  Both are immense.
