Gary Humphrey

Gary was born on August 10, 1958 in Lompoc, California. Gary attended schools in Tulsa and Grove, Oklahoma. In high school he moved to Grove and lived with his grandmother and grandfather, Robert and Dorothy Meadows, where he helped Robert on the farm and worked bailing hay and construction. He was an excellent student in school and secured several scholarships and grant for his hard work in high school. Gary graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in civil engineering after putting himself through four years of college. Gary met the love of his life, Cindi Ormond, on September 20, 1984, and they married December 28, 1985. God blessed them with two children, Stephanie and Matthew. Gary worked at Seafloor Engineers for a brief period and then went on to work for Fugro for thirty years, traveling the world on business. While at Fugro, Gary served on the Advisory Boards for Civil Engineering at Oklahoma State University and Texas A&M University. He has had many papers published and his expertise earned him the nickname "Dr. Humphrey." He was most recently employed by The Jukes Group. Gary was the humblest of men and never demanded anything. He loved the Lord Jesus tremendously and always had a giving hand and a listening ear. We will miss him more than words could ever describe. However, we know that he is in Paradise in the loving arms of Jesus and rejoicing while looking down over us until we can join him once again.
