Garry Lee Welborn was born on June 14, 1941 in Durant, Oklahoma. After a short battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on April 3, 2026. He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Garry entered into the Navy in 1957 serving 4 years overseas.

He married Janie Luciano in 1981.  He started several businesses in the Houston area and helped numerous others start up small businesses.

Garry had a lifelong love of the water and spent countless hours on lakes or the ocean and fishing off his deck in Tiki Island. He also enjoyed travelling and taking cruises with his family, gardening, woodworking and entertaining friends.

Garry is survived by his beloved wife Janie; his daughters Ronda and husband Chris, Renee and husband Christopher.

He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Jakob and his wife Madelyn, Christopher and his wife Molly, Hannah, Reagan, Matthew, twins William and Nicholas, Lily, and great-granddaughter Ivy.

He is also survived by his brother David and wife Angela, sisters Joan and husband Jim, and Saundra and many extended family members and friends who mourn his loss.
