Garry Lee Anspach, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away on February 3, 2023, surrounded by his wife and two children.

Garry was born on March 6, 1939, to the late Eric and Adele (Wirth) Anspach in New Castle, Indiana. He graduated from New Castle High School in 1957. He spent time at Ball State University before enlisting in the Air Force in 1960, where he served with the 1381st Geodetic Survey Squadron until 1964.

Garry began his professional career at the Lubrizol Corporation as an operator, then Training Supervisor, and ultimately Production Supervisor until his retirement in 1999. During this time, he earned an Associate's Degree in Airconditioning Science from San Jacinto College. This was an accomplishment he was very proud of.

In addition to his parents, Garry was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harlan Sanford and Margarette Mozelle (Lowe) Lewis; and brother-in-law, Paul Wayne Lewis.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Carolyn Jane (Lewis); son Tracy Michael Anspach and his wife Dawn (Bissell); and daughter Terri Danielle Anspach Garza. Grandchildren: Javier Andres Garza, Olivia Cristina and her husband John Michael Fuhrmann, Joseph Adam Garza, Liliana Theresa Garza, Nicole Rose Anspach, Natalie Danielle Anspach, and Nathan Michael Anspach. Brother Melvin Anspach and wife Lisbeth, nephew Perry Anspach; Sister-in-law Irma Lewis, nephew Joshua Paul Lewis and Jennifer Boley, niece Lysha Lynne and husband Patrick Ivy and grandnieces Elise & Laney, and grandnephew Grant Ivy. Brother-in-law Scott Sanford Lewis and wife Jennifer, niece Alexandra Elizabeth and her husband Brian Collum. He also leaves numerous cousins and friends who he considered family.

Garry spent his retirement perfecting the art of "Grandad" to his seven grandchildren, and was able to do some travelling with his wife in their motorhome. He was a meticulous mechanic and could fix ANYTHING. He had an enviable collection of tools and took great pride in keeping his cars washed and waxed. He LOVED Nascar, and watching football, basketball, and baseball on any number of sports channels. He was a fan of classic country music and loved to play the guitar. He had a lovely singing voice we didn't get to hear enough of. He also loved classic westerns and was John Wayne's biggest fan.

He leaves behind a huge hole that will never be filled. He was a true example of a gentleman. Kind hearted, honest, a friend to all, he always tried to take care of everyone. We will miss most his strong hugs, his hearty laugh, his silly sense of humor, and the way he loved us with everything he had. If you knew Garry, you knew the gift of his friendship.
