Gail Tarhalla went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2024.
She passed peacefully with a whisper of a breath in her very own living
room surrounded by friends and family. Gail was born in Dallas, Texas to
Levi Scott Fowler and Eva Doris Fowler. She was 79.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1962 and soon
decided to start a family and had one daughter, Lynn Tarhalla.
Gail worked in claims at Blue Cross and Blue Sheild while beginning
her family. Corporate environment soon gave over to a housewife position and
then began a love for horses.
Her favorite was a horse called Gem of which was loved to be ridden and shown halter in competition. Gem won as Western Pleasure in an event. Being such a gentle ride, he became a donation later on to "Sire", a program for disabled children.
She enjoyed gardening with roses and azaleas, painting garden statues,
watching hummingbirds. and delving into home renovations. She could
turn a one-bedroom shack into a palace for kings. Her entertainment for
the week was grocery shopping and loved to cook. She loved learning to
play the piano again.
Gail's favorite kitty "Little Girl" was one of her prized possessions. The
cat took precedence. Elvis took command as she was a devoted fan for
50 years, seeing the entertainer several times in person.
Sunday afternoons after church at GracePoint Fellowship were anxiously
awaited for the Dallas Cowboys to take the field. She was a fan for 50 years.
She was tireless to the core and survived cancer twice, along with many
other afflictions. Just true redheaded determination. She would throw
on her wig and face the day.
Gail is survived by her loving and devoted husband Mark, her loving
daughter Lynn (Jenee), and many cherished friends.
