Our beloved son, Gabriel (Gabe), passed onto the Lord on January 15, 2022.
Gabriel was born in Cypress, Texas—the only true Texan in the household. He is survived by his loving parents, Julio and Beatriz, and his older brother, Alejandro.
Gabriel was a gentle soul who was passionate about learning. He was gifted with intelligence, expressing a curiosity and desire to discover the world around him. His fondness of literature influenced his distinct method of speech and writing, drawing in all who listened. Gabriel was soft-spoken and reserved but his kindness and good humor were cherished by all.
Gabriel was a highly accomplished student. By his senior year at Cy-Woods High School, he was enrolled in the most advanced physics and mathematics classes. He was a straight "A" student throughout his academic career. His scholastic excellence was such that he would have graduated high school with an associate degree.
Gabriel partook in several extracurricular scholastic activities. He played the trumpet in the school band and was a member of the Cy-Woods marching band for four years. Gabriel competed in the Science Club and Physics Club on many occasions. He had an avid interest in computer science – computer coding frequently at home. As a member of Boy Scouts Troop 573, Gabriel camped across Texas, earned merit badges and made new friends. He volunteered in the community, assisting at the CAM food pantry and helping with the cleanup after Hurricane Harvey.
His faith in God, family, and friends were foundational to him. Gabriel was loved beyond measure. He will be dearly missed.
