Fredrick A. Trascher, Jr., 79, born June 10, 1939, died January 6, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Frederick Trascher, Sr.

Fredrick is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Marie Morere Trascher; sons, Frederick A. Trascher, III and Kirk Louis Trascher; granddaughters Lisa Marie Trascher and Leah Michelle Trascher; sister, Phyllis Brossette; son-in-law, Victor Brossette along with their daughters Suzette (Ledet) and Colette (Gaudet) as well as many other immediate and extended family members.

A New Orleans native, Holy Cross High School product, proud Navy veteran and Delgado College honors graduate Fred was employed by Chrysler Aerospace (Michoud Assembly Facility) for a number of years until he pursued additional opportunities for his family moving them to Houston, TX in the 1970's and ultimately retiring from Shell Oil Company after a distinguished career in the engineering/research fields.  Upon his retirement Fred was requested by Shell on numerous occasions to continue serving their needs all the while traveling with and caring for his family, mostly notably the love of his life Marie.

The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation from 6pm-8pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Klein funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065. A funeral service for Fredrick will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Klein Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Klein Memorial Park on FM2920.
