Frederick Michael Mahfouz, 71, of Magnolia, passed away March 2, 2018. He was born September 3, 1946, to the late Mitchell and Genevieve Mahfouz.

Mike was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana on September 3, 1946 to proud parents Genevieve and Mitchell Mahfouz.  An only child, he went to school in Alexandria, Louisiana where he fell in love with his best friend, Mabel Rodrigue.  Mike and Mabel moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where they attended LSU, lived in married student apartments and became life-long Tiger fans.  Mike ultimately graduated from Louisiana College with a bachelor degree in the field of science.

After graduating college, Mike and Mabel moved to Corpus Christi, Texas.  He served in the Army National Guard.  They soon moved to Orange, Texas where they were active members of the St. Mary's Catholic community and Knights of Columbus. Mike enjoyed playing soft ball with his KC family.  The family relocated to Houston, Texas in 1983 where Mike was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Tomball, Tx and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6456.  Mike was happiest when surrounded by Mabel, "the girls", Noah and their families. His favorite past times were: boiling crawfish in the backyard with family and friends, laying by the pool, and watching his beloved New Orleans Saints or Tigers play football.  He was always "ready to go" whether it was to Destin, Vegas, Disneyworld or to see snow!

Mike and Mabel were blessed with 52 years of marriage, two beautiful daughters, Kimberly and Michelle, and a grandson that he adored, Noah.  Over the years, Mike had a successful career with Sears Robuck and ultimately retired from First Data in 2015.
