Frederick Karl Braun, age 89, went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 28, 1934. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Ludwig & Hermine Braun, and his brother, Louis Braun.
Fred had a 20 year career in the Air Force, joining at age 19 as an officer upon graduation from New York University. He served in Japan, Korea and Vietnam along with multiple assignments in the United States.
After living in many places while in the military, Fred retired and settled his family in San Antonio, Texas where he finally found time to enjoy his hobbies: making and flying model airplanes, photography and running his HO electric train sets.
Being a New Yorker, he dreamed of owning land of his own and later was able to settle with Bobbie on 20 acres in Seguin, Texas. Driving his Kubota tractor proved to be an unexpected joy later in life. As his health worsened, Fred made his way to Conroe where he lived near his
children.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Bobbie of 64 years and his children: Frederick L Braun and wife Heather, Karen Taylor and husband Doyle, Eric Braun and wife Sara and Jeffrey Braun and wife Carine. He was blessed with grandchildren: Brian Taylor and wife Emily, Chris Taylor and
wife Leslie, Jennifer Taylor, Frederick G Braun, Amy Braun and Nastasia Braun and greatgrandchildren: Oliver Taylor, Sadie Taylor and Justin Taylor.
