Willene Schierloh went to be with her Lord and Savior January 20, 2017, at the age of 90. Born June 16, 1926, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, she was one of nine children born to Ernest and Sudie Kelton. She grew up on a farm and attended Oklahoma State University. She then worked at Shell Oil Company, where she met and later fell in love and married Harold Henry Schierloh, her cherished husband of 62 years. She was predeceased by Harold, who passed away in 2012; her parents; all but two of her siblings; and her son, Bruce Schierloh. She is survived by her loving daughters, Vicki Bigham and husband George and Joyce Schierloh of Houston; grand-daughter Amanda Hill and husband Patrick of Houston; great grand-children Makenzie and Logan Hill; sister Wanda Reding of Houston; sister Ruth Ladd and husband Bob of Tulsa; and countless extended and loving family. She volunteered in a number of programs over the years, both at church and in the community, but her primary role and her primary love was as a devoted wife and mother, working with her husband to ensure the family home was a Christian home where God was alive and present in the lives of the parents. Her faith was so evident in her caring for her family and in her service to others. She and Harold counted many friends, especially those at their long-time church home, Pilgrim Lutheran, and in later years, Trinity Lutheran. We rejoice in the Christian life she lived and that she is now reunited with her husband and son and so many others in her forever home. Those of us here will miss her so. Visitation: 1/27, 9-10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5201 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring, TX 77379. Funeral service to follow, with Graveside Service at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, TX. A luncheon will then be served at the church.
