Fred Dean Thomasson, 89 years of age, passed on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at his home in Cypress, Texas
Fred was born on May 31, 1933 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to the late Berlin and Tula Mae Thomasson (Taylor), he was the oldest of two children. Fred graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Fred married Kay Stokes in May 1953 and three children were born from this union. Randy is the oldest followed two years apart by Mark and Mike. In 1954 Fred went to work for Phillips 66 in Borger, Texas then transferred to a new carbon black plant in Orange, Texas around 1960. Fred was always very involved in the boys sports teams, mostly baseball. Fred and Kay retired in the early 1990s, sold their home in little cypress, bought a travel trailer and headed northwest. They loved Colorado and spent most of next ten years exploring the beautiful rivers and campgrounds. Around 2000 they sold the travel trailer and bought a new home in Cleburne, Texas. They resided there until their final move to Parsons House in Cypress, Texas in 2020.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Katherine June, granddaughter Crystal Thomasson, and son Michael Allen Thomasson.
Fred leaves to cherish his loving memory wife Kay, children Mark and Randy, grandchildren Jennifer Lynn Thomasson and James Dean Thomasson.
