Fred Douglas Lowe III, age 73, of Spring, TX died on July 13th, 2021.  He was born on January 3, 1948, in Oklahoma City, OK to Fred Douglas Lowe Jr and was raised by his stepmom Leta Jackson.

As a young boy, Doug and his family moved to Southern Illinois.  He attended Herrin High School where he played football and baseball. He married Donna Seargeant in 1971 after meeting in college on a blind date.  His job with General Electric moved them around the country including Louisville, KY, Fort Meyers, FL, and Dallas, TX.  A job with the video game maker Atari brought his family to San Jose where both of his children were raised.  He played tennis at the local racquet club and learned to ski in Lake Tahoe.  After retirement, Doug & Donna moved to Tomball, Texas to be near their grandson.  Doug quickly made friends with his wonderful neighbors and enjoyed watching Grant play ice hockey.

Doug volunteered at Champions Forest Baptist Church.  He enjoyed collecting coins, going out to dinner, watching sporting events, working in his garden, and planting flowers.  He loved his dog and they walked together multiple times per day.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Donna Lowe (2018) and his sister: Dorothy Lowe (1992).  Doug is survived by his daughter, April Watson of Tomball, Texas; son, Austin Lowe of San Jose, California; grandson, Grant Watson of Tomball, Texas; granddaughter, Bella McKenna of Santa Cruz, California, son-in-law, Scott Watson of Tomball Texas; sister-in-law, Dianna Sergeant of Lexington, Kentucky; niece, Stacey Middleton of Lexington, Kentucky; and niece, Kristen sergeant of Lexington, Kentucky.

A memorial is scheduled for Doug on Saturday, July 17th at 10 am in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home 1400 West Main Street in Tomball.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Doug's life.   Please join the family after the service at Scott & April Watson's home for lunch.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center 702 West Taylor St, San Jose, CA 95126 or Abandoned Animal Rescue at AARTexas.org.
