Obituary

Louis "Frank" Cason, Sr.

February 19, 1945 – February 14, 2018

Louis Frank Cason, Sr., was born on February 19, 1945, in Dallas County, TX, and went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 14, 2018.  He was the son of Charles Spurgeon Cason and Martha Louise Mansel and was the seventh of eight children.

Frank was transferred by Texas Instruments to the Houston area in 1977.  Later he worked at Compaq and retired in October 2012 from Hewlett-Packard after 27 years as a mechanical product engineer.

Frank married Rachael Ann Rottmann on January 1, 1994, in Spring, TX.  He loved and adored Rachael, and they shared many beautiful memories together for 24 years.  Frank truly strived to love Rachael as Christ loved the Church.

Frank's most treasured hobby was spending time with his family, his six children, his 16 grandchildren, and his three great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored.

Among his hobbies were golfing, combing antique stores, attending car shows, and watching as many Astros baseball games as he could.  He was also an avid Ford Mustang fan.  More than that, Frank loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with all his heart.

Frank was born and raised in the Baptist church. In 1994, he joined Trinity Lutheran Church and was a very active member, including Trinity Lutheran Men's Club, the Bulletin group, as well as attending various Bible classes.

Frank leaves a legacy of his faith, his family and his love.

He is survived by his wife Rachael, and his children and their spouses, Louis "Frank" Jr. and Marlinda Cason, Shari and Greg Nelson, Jim and Docia Cason, David and Elizabeth Hach, Angela and Andrew Cousins, and Andrew Pastor. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jonathan Nelson, Allyson Cason, Kathleen Nelson, Elizabeth Nelson, Brittainie Cason, Jonah Cason, Joseph Nelson, Jordan Cason, Jacob Cason, Ellie Cason, Aaron Hach, Emily Hach, Ashleigh Cousins, Joshua Cason, Addison Cousins, and Madelynne Cason, as well as three great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Bobbie Kee and Charlene Jones, and his brother, David Cason, Sr.  Frank was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles Raymond Cason, Nolan Cason, and Jimmy Donald Cason; and his sister, Bearyl Jewel Opielowski.
