Frank Henry Rouser, age 83, left to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 3rd 2019. His devotion to, and love of, his family is only rivaled by his firm belief in God and his desire to share his faith with others.
Frank was born on August 2, 1935 to the late Elmer and Lilian Rouser, of Pittsburg, PA. After graduating from Allegheny High School in Pittsburg, he joined the Navy and served for 4 years, which included time at sea as a Yeoman during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the military, Frank went to the Pittsburg Art Institute to study graphic arts. Upon graduation, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio and got a job in advertising. Soon after, he met the love of his life Mary G. Topper who he married on June 4, 1966.
Frank and Mary raised their three children in Cleveland until 1978 when Frank's job at Nationwide Advertising moved them to Houston, Texas. They resided in Prestonwood Forest and joined St. Timothy's Lutheran Church where Mary directed music and sang in the choir, and Frank was on the church council and building committee.
Frank is survived by daughter Kimberly and her husband Michael; son Christopher and his wife Carol; son Kevin and his wife Melanie; grandchildren Michael, Mason, Katie, Karlee, Andrew, and Samantha and sister Arlene Kingery of Jacksonville, FL. He is preceded in death and will be welcomed home by his wife Mary; his sisters, Lorain, Delores and Janet and his brother Elmer.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 12th, from 11:30AM – 12:30PM with visitation prior from 10:30AM – 11:30AM at Kinsmen Lutheran Church, 12100 Champion Forest Dr. Houston, TX 77066.
