The worlds handiest man, Frank Joseph Martin earned the coveted golden hammer the morning of May 30, 2020 surrounded by love and family after a very courageous battle with cancer. Frank was born on January 16, 1951 to Adam and Helen Martin on a farm in south Houston, where his love of being outside and working hard truly started. The "baby" of eight Frank was accustomed to getting his way, even if it was simply because his parents were just too tired to say no, that same mentality trickled down to his grandchildren – he just simply couldn't and wouldn't tell them no. He was automatically drawn to those sitting alone at party, because he felt it was his mission to draw you out and include you in everything, strangers are just friends we haven't made yet. A fantastic storyteller (he'd tell you the same one a million different times and if it didn't make you roll your eyes, you simply had to laugh). Frank was a "fixer". If you needed something repaired, he was the one you called. If there was a crisis you were facing and needed guidance, he was the first to help you and could always answers life's biggest problems by quoting "Forrest Gump". If you needed comfort he was the first to give you a hug, a tissue to dry your tears and a story to help lift your spirits. Frank loved to travel – but only if the restaurants were good and food readily available. Frank now gets to feast on life's best buffet in heaven, may you eat until you're finally full. He loved cars – the louder the better, we often joked that he only liked the loud ones because those were the only ones he could hear.

Survived by his loving wife Noreta "Booboo" Martin for 44 years, his daughter Jennifer Maier, son Brian Martin, daughter in law Whitney Martin, sisters Pat Followell, Jane Wilkins, brother Clarence Martin. Frank was always proud of what his two hands could make and the life he built, but his proudest moments were the moments he got to spend with his grandchildren, Hailey "Haileygirl" and Carter "Bud" Martin, Zachary Martin, Tommy Plunkett Jr and Caleb Plunkett. Those carefully selected to carry Frank to his final resting place are: Frank Davis, Joshua Abernathy, Kelly Wiltshire, Lamar Haas, Mike Schindler and Tommy Underwood. Frank was the epitome of dedication when it came to do what he loved and showed that by working for over 35 years for Marek Brothers Systems, Inc under the guidance of men he held in the highest regard. We want to send a special thank you to Bruce Marek for renewing Frank's faith in 2008 by asking him join a men's retreat, Frank knew where he was going and never doubted after that eventful weekend.

"Work hard enough to get callouses but take the time to sit and enjoy the benefits of that hard work with those that love you most." It's time to lay down that tool belt Frank, your work here is done.
