Frank Marion Anderson, Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and proud veteran of the United States Air Force, peacefully passed away on April 3, 2026, in Cypress, Texas. He was 91 years old.
Frank was born on September 21, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas, to Frank Marion Anderson, Sr., and Susie Ruth (Hale) Anderson. From an early age growing up in Austin, Texas, he demonstrated a strong sense of duty and commitment that would define his life. After completing his education, Frank entered the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for 31 years during the Korean and Vietnam War eras. He rose through the enlisted ranks to attain the distinguished rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E‑9), the highest enlisted grade in the Air Force. Throughout his career, he demonstrated exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to mission and service. In recognition of his meritorious service, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, among other decorations.

Frank's life was deeply rooted in family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria E. Anderson; his daughters Tracy E. Southard and her husband Brian Southard; Trina E. Petersen and her husband Russ Petersen; Diana M. Fincher; and Stephanie A. D'Couto and her husband Gary D'Couto. He also leaves behind his brother James H. Anderson and sister Judy Kay Abbe. Frank was a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren and a proud great‑grandfather to ten great‑grandchildren. Frank was also an uncle to one niece and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Mary Sue Anderson; his son Timothy G. Anderson; and his son Michael W. Stuntz.

Frank's legacy is one of dedication—to his family, his country, and those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
