Francis Furman Shamp was born January 19, 1925 in Shreveport, LA. He went to be with his
Lord and Savior on February 24, 2021 in Spring, TX. at the age of 96.

He was a World War II Veteran serving in the army from 1941 to 1943. He graduated college
from Louisiana Tech in 1949. He was a Mechanical Engineer with Exxon for 30 years.

Furman is survived by his loving wife Yvonne, happily married for 69 years. One son Darrel
Shamp (Sally), two daughters Janet Bennett (Mike), Linda Plagens (Charlie). Seven
grandchildren; Kim, Travis, Joe, Jamie, Kristen, Lindsey & Justin. Sixteen great grandchildren.
He is also survived by one brother Wesley Shamp (Patty), nieces, nephews and cousins.
