FRANCES EILENE KEMPER

October 10, 1940 – March 29, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Frances Eilene Kemper, on March 29, 2025. She was born on October 10, 1940, in Chemainus, British Columbia, Canada.

She was a kind, generous, and thoughtful person who touched the lives of so many. Eilene had a passion for painting and a deep love for her family. She will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Lavandusky; her father, Frank John Lavandusky; her husband, Thomas Kemper; her sister, Sherry Harmon; and her aunt, Hazel Goia.

Eilene is survived by her children, Kelly Bertrand, Michael Bertrand, Lorette Moffett and husband Ken, Jon Bertrand and wife Suy, and Russell Bertrand and wife Sandy; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Justin, Eric and wife Haley, Conner, Sydney and husband Roland, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Adalida,  Ophelia, Tristan, Thea, and Noah.

There will be no public services. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
