Frances Talbert Ely, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away September 14, 2025 in Spring, Tx. She was born in Bearden, Arkansas. She grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas with her mom, "Coot" and her mischievous uncles. There she met the love of her life, Roe, in 8th grade. That is when and where their beautiful love story began.

Frances' happiest years were spent with her family. Roe and Frances spent 71 loving years together. They were blessed to be able to celebrate this occasion together on August 31, 2025. They shared a love story that most of us can only imagine.

The party years were spent in Shreveport where so many good memories were made with their best friends Nelwyn and Rueben Webb. So many fun times were had on India Drive with all their many friends. Often they would roll each others homes to demonstrate their loyalty to their college teams. Frances often said she would never forget the time Roe and his best friend Reuben found a dead alligator. They proceeded to put the alligator on the front porch of the home where Frances and the neighborhood ladies were playing Bridge. They propped open the gator's mouth, rang the doorbell, and ran off. Needless to say they were in the doghouse with their wives for weeks.

Frances cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays and traveling with her family. Trips included the Cayman Islands, Pensacola Beach, Arkansas, and Amsterdam. There were short monthly jaunts to the casino to try her luck on the slot machines at $1.20 a spin.

Frances is survived by her husband, Roe; her 3 daughters DeAnn Collins of Spring, Tx; Ellen Mohun of Spring, Tx; Susan Naremore (Rick) of Pinehurst, Tx; her cherished granchildren, Sarah (Josh), Courtney (Adam), Chris, Ryan (Alyssa) and her treasured great-grandchildren; Aubree, Owen, Everett, Charley, Juliette, and Carter. And those who left us too soon, her beloved son Michael and her son-in-law Scott Mohun.

Let us not forget her furbabies, Bubba Lou and Dixie.  Over the years she had many grandpups that she loved.

We will miss her more than life itself. We are not ok, but she is.

We love you forever.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Friday, September 19, 2025, at Klein Memorial Park 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, TX 77375
